WiffleTopia Hits a Home Run for Neurodiverse Children

Big Swings, Big Smiles, Big Impact

A day of play with a purpose

Agritopia hit it out of the park this weekend as families gathered for the WiffleTopia tournament, a full day of wiffleball, community, and baseball loving kids living their best lives. What started as a fun neighborhood idea turned into something truly meaningful, raising an incredible $10,000 for the Starry Foundation (www.starryfoundation.org), an organization providing hope and resources for families of children with sensory processing disorder (SPD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The mission is to connect these children with leading multidisciplinary medical teams to address medical, academic, and social challenges.  Should your family or a family you love need support, we highly recommend you reach out to the Starry Foundation, through their website or contact the Shaw Family.

The day kicked off with an 8:00 AM opening ceremony, followed by pool play, single elimination games, and a much-loved Home Run Derby. There was a dedicated Fun Field for those there from the neighborhood just for fun, younger players, so every age group found a place to swing, cheer, and shine.

But the magic of WiffleTopia went beyond the bats and the scoreboards. Linn Shaw and Bart Walker championed this event from the beginning, spending countless hours dreaming, planning, coordinating, and organizing an experience designed not only for fun but for impact. Their vision created a space where neighbors could rally around both community connection and a deeply important cause.

Families enjoyed great food, snow cones, sunshine, and non-stop excitement, all while supporting a foundation making a difference for those with autism. It was a day filled with heart, hustle, and hometown pride, proof that when Agritopia shows up, we show up big.  We would like to thank the sponsors for the event; KP Aviation, Benefit Commerce Group, OSBI, Stroll Agritopia, Garage East, Country Financial Insurance, Serhant, Colair, Take Root Preschool and Someburros.

WiffleTopia wasn’t just a tournament. It was a home run for a cause that matters!  Interested in participating or sponsoring next year, please reach out to Linn Shaw or Bart Walker, as the 3rd Annual WiffleTopia event will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2026.
