Meet Sloane Mouser
Excelling in Academics and Acting
At just 14 years old, Sloane Mouser is already making waves in the Anchorage community with her array of talents and achievements. She's a current Anchorage Public School student and will attend Mercy Academy in the fall. Family is important to Sloane, and she has her mom Tara, dad Stuart, and younger sister Carson, who's 11, supporting her every step of the way. “I have lived in Anchorage since I was one year old,” she adds.
Sloane's interests go beyond books and classes. She takes ceramics, dance classes, and loves acting. It all started for her back in first grade when she first stepped onto the stage, and she hasn't stopped since. Sloane enjoys musicals the most because she gets to sing, dance, and act—all in front of an audience. She shares, “I started acting in first grade and have done the school play every year since, while also performing different plays at other studios.” She's been in a whopping 13 play productions and has landed main roles in nearly every one of them!
In addition, she is a member of many after-school clubs, including the Middle School Community Connections Club, Academic Team, and the Unified Champion Schools Club.
You might wonder how Sloane manages to do it all—school, acting, and other activities. Well, she's one organized young lady. Even though she's super busy, she still makes time for fun while keeping everything in order.
When asked about her sources of inspiration, Sloane points to her parents. Their unwavering support, encouragement, and belief in her abilities motivate Sloane to strive for greatness in everything she does. Their example has instilled in her a drive to always give her best, both on stage and off.
Looking into the future, Sloane has big dreams. After high school, she plans to become either an architect or an engineer. With her dedication and drive, there's no doubt she'll achieve whatever she sets her mind to.
