Dr. Tavari Brown of TTB Health Consulting

Through therapy, coaching, and corporate training, Dr. Tavari Brown helps high-achieving Atlantans set healthier boundaries, reduce stress, and create lives that feel as good on the inside as they look on the outside.

For nearly three decades, Dr. Tavari Brown has helped people navigate life's challenges with greater confidence, clarity, and authenticity. As a licensed professional counselor, coach, speaker, and health educator, she specializes in helping high-achieving individuals stop people-pleasing, establish healthy boundaries, and build lives that reflect who they truly are.

Born in Ohio but proudly calling Atlanta home since 1982, Tavari's roots run deep in the city. Her first job was in Piedmont Park, and she spent much of her childhood in Atlanta before pursuing degrees from the University of California, Berkeley and New York University. Despite her travels and professional accomplishments, Atlanta has always remained home.

What many people don't know is that Tavari chose her life's work at an early age.

"I chose therapy when I was 10 years old," she says.

That early calling eventually led her to build TTB Health Consulting, a practice dedicated to helping people navigate life's challenges with greater self-awareness and confidence. Today, Tavari works with individuals, couples, families, and organizations, providing counseling, coaching, leadership development, and corporate training programs focused on emotional intelligence, stress reduction, communication, and healthy relationships.

Many of her clients are professionals, business leaders, caregivers, and high achievers who spend much of their time taking care of everyone around them while neglecting their own needs. Tavari helps them step back, identify what matters most, and develop practical tools for creating healthier, more fulfilling lives.

What sets Tavari apart is her approach.

"I am the primary tool. I bring my full self to the space. I lead with authenticity and vulnerability to create an environment of psychological safety."

That philosophy is reflected throughout her work. Rather than offering generic advice or one-size-fits-all solutions, Tavari combines professional expertise with honesty, humor, and real-world experience. She believes meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to show up as themselves and brave enough to challenge the stories that may be holding them back.

Her commitment to education extends beyond private practice. As a speaker and trainer, Tavari works with organizations and leadership teams to improve communication, strengthen workplace culture, and help individuals better understand themselves and those around them. Whether speaking to a room of executives or sitting with a client one-on-one, her goal remains the same: helping people live and lead more authentically.

Like many entrepreneurs, Tavari has also faced challenges while growing her own business. One of the most important lessons she learned was trusting herself enough to allow her business to evolve.

"Sometimes we get in the way of our own growth," she says. "I had to learn to take the reins off my business and let her run wild."

Today, Tavari continues to expand her reach through speaking engagements, corporate workshops, and a growing podcast platform. She is particularly excited about upcoming conversations with prominent members of Atlanta's business and civic communities, giving listeners an opportunity to see successful people beyond their titles and accomplishments.

"It gives people the opportunity to put down their facade and demonstrate they are human beings, not human doings."

For Tavari, transformation doesn't come from perfection. It comes from self-awareness, honesty, and the willingness to embrace who you truly are.

When asked what advice she would offer residents, her answer is refreshingly simple:

"Get out of your house, get out of your head, and have fun. No one is judging you the way you judge yourself."
