Making a Difference: Anna Grace Crawford Dances for a Cause Close to Her Heart

In the heart of Ardsley Park, where charm and community go hand in hand, one neighbor recently took to the stage to raise awareness for a cause deeply personal to her. Anna Grace Crawford, a local Realtor with Engel & Völkers Savannah, traded her heels for ballroom shoes as a Star Dancer in the 2025 Dancing Stars of Coastal Georgia—a dazzling annual gala that benefits the Alzheimer’s Association.
Held on May 17th at the Savannah Convention Center, the event brought nearly 800 attendees together for a night of glitz, glamour, and generosity. As Anna Grace waltzed and twirled across the dance floor, her mission was clear: to honor her family’s experience with Alzheimer’s and raise vital funds for research, care, and support services.
“This cause is so close to my heart,” she shared. “Both my great-uncle and great-aunt passed away with Alzheimer’s when I was young. I remember the emotional toll it took on my family—and I continue to see how many people around me are affected. I knew I wanted to do something meaningful.”
Anna Grace’s journey began back in November 2024, when she was paired with professional dancer Mack McKenzie. Over the next seven months, the pair practiced weekly, working on their routine while Anna Grace also spearheaded a series of creative fundraisers across Savannah. From high-energy events at F45 Training to stylish soirées at Labels on Liberty, The Collective, and Savannah Smiles, her efforts energized the community in a big way.
By gala night, Anna Grace had personally raised more than $25,000—and helped the event surpass a staggering $460,000 in total. “It was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had,” she said. “It pushed me out of my comfort zone, introduced me to amazing people, and reminded me just how strong and generous our Savannah community truly is.”
The Alzheimer’s Association, the event’s beneficiary, has been a leader in Alzheimer’s research and support for more than 40 years. From funding scientific breakthroughs to offering resources for families and caregivers, the organization plays a vital role in communities across the country—including right here in Savannah.
For Anna Grace, the experience didn’t end when the music stopped. She’s still encouraging others to get involved: “There are so many ways to support—whether it’s attending an event, donating, or even dancing yourself next year! I’d love to help connect anyone in Ardsley Park who’s interested.”
From helping clients find their dream homes to stepping into the spotlight for a cause, Anna Grace Crawford embodies the spirit of Ardsley Park: gracious, driven, and always making a difference.
