Running Toward New Goals in Ardsley Park

Addison Blazevich may be new to Ardsley Park, but she’s already found her stride in the neighborhood’s running community. Originally from Lawrenceville, GA, Addison moved here a year ago and quickly connected with local runners through the 65th Squad, a Saturday morning group she now calls her training family.
A former cross country and track athlete at the University of Georgia, Addison began running competitively at age 14 to stay in shape for soccer. What started as a training tool quickly became a lifelong passion.
After stepping away from racing due to a challenging pregnancy, Addison considers her return to running one of her biggest recent victories. “It’s been a tough but rewarding comeback,” she shares. Now, her sights are set on rebuilding strength and training for more marathons—at her own pace.
Outside of running, Addison enjoys photography, hiking, and baking, and she finds energy in surrounding herself with others who share her enthusiasm for movement. “Chasing goals is so much better with people who make the long training hours fly by,” she says.
One of her biggest inspirations is her neighbor and friend, Julie Wade. Not only is Julie a fellow runner, but she’s also a community leader, advocating for survivors of human trafficking through her work at Tharros Place. “Julie kept training through incredibly difficult seasons and continues to give back in huge ways,” Addison says. “She’s a big part of why I feel so connected here.”
Once a collegiate athlete, now a proud “washed-up marathon runner,” Addison is embracing this new chapter with grit, gratitude, and big goals ahead—all with the support of her Ardsley Park community.
