Rooted in Care: How Edgewater Dental Brings Heart to Every Smile
When Dr. Kirsten Jordan opened the doors to Edgewater Dental this past March, it wasn’t just the start of a new business—it was the realization of a lifelong dream. After years of hard work, education, and hands-on experience, Kirsten found the perfect opportunity to combine her passion for dentistry with her love for community.
“I purchased an existing practice that aligned with my mission and approach to patient care,” she shared. “It allowed me to continue providing the community with a standard of care they’ve come to expect, while bringing my own expertise and expanding our services. The patients and community have been incredibly welcoming—it’s really confirmed that I made the right decision.”
Unlike many dental offices that follow a fast-paced corporate model, Edgewater Dental stands out for its intentional focus on relationships over volume. “We don’t work for the insurance companies—we work for you,” Kirsten said. “That freedom allows us to provide a higher standard of care in a relaxed, pressure-free environment.”
Each appointment at Edgewater Dental is designed to be personal and thorough. The practice never double-books patients, ensuring every visit receives the time and attention it deserves. “We treat everyone like family,” Kirsten explained. “Our goal is to build lifelong relationships, not just quick appointments.”
The small but mighty Edgewater team reflects that same philosophy. Two full-time hygienists, a dedicated dental assistant, and a patient care coordinator form the heart of the practice, supported by a part-time hygienist who visits twice a month. Together, they’ve helped make the transition seamless for both new and returning patients.
And while Kirsten doesn’t plan to expand the size of the practice—keeping care personal and intimate—she does have big dreams for growth in another way. “We want to continue investing in new technologies to offer even more services in-house,” she said. “It’s all about making the experience even better for our patients.”
A Georgia native, Kirsten was born and raised in Marietta, attended the University of Georgia, and earned her dental degree from the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta. After nearly a decade of practicing in McDonough, she and her husband, Robbie—her childhood sweetheart—made the move to Savannah this past spring. “We moved on St. Patrick’s Day weekend,” she laughed. “Next year, we’ll finally get to take our boys, Fletcher (4) and Harrison (2), to the parade!”
Outside the office, Kirsten enjoys traveling and exploring the coastal outdoors with her family. She says her love for dentistry began early, inspired by a pediatric dentist who showed her how creative and hands-on the profession could be. “I loved the ability to transform a patient’s smile,” she said.
Her advice for the Ardsley Park community is simple but powerful: “Don’t let a poor past dental experience affect your oral health. Sometimes it’s just about finding the right provider. At Edgewater Dental, we take time to listen, connect, and truly understand your needs. We’re here to make dentistry a positive, even enjoyable experience.”
Edgewater Dental is currently welcoming new patients. Whether you’re new to the neighborhood or just looking for a fresh approach to dental care, Dr. Jordan and her team invite you to experience their signature blend of professionalism and Southern hospitality.
