Ready for Some Fun? Check Out Shindigs!
Shindigs is Savannah's traveling honky tonk, and is honestly a night out that you’re sure to remember.
“We teach western dance lessons at bars, beaches, boats and many more places. At every Shindig we offer a beginner western dance lesson such as two step, line dancing, or country swing,” began Suzannah Forbes. “Our goal is to get everyone feeling confident on the dance floor. We've seen dance bring so many people together. We offer dance lesson at regular monthly venues and every now-and-then sort of places, as well as private bookings of all kinds.”
Shindigs has grown quite a bit over the last few years, their following steadily increasing and growing.
“The end goal for Shindigs is to settle down and become a brick and mortar honky tonk bar!” shared Suzannah, her excitement and enthusiasm for this next step evident in her smile.
Originally from Kennesaw, Georgia, Suzannah loves dance and riding horses. She’s traveled extensively throughout the southeast, and loves riding horses whenever she visits Texas. A lifelong dancer, Suzannah is professionally trained in ballet and continues to teach lessons.
Shindigs is a wonderful place for couples, singles and friends to get together and have fun.
“The best advice I would give is to let loose! No matter what style of dance you prefer, it has such a powerful way of bringing you to live in the present and challenge your mind and body to do different things. I can get really nerdy about the science of dance, but overall it's meant to be fun and bring joy to your life,” Suzannah laughed.
“I'd like to say that I am really thankful to be doing what I am doing,” she added. “The dance floor of life really is for everyone. I hope people feel encouraged to come to a Shindig and try something new!”
