Yard Appeal

According to Chinese gardening tradition, every garden should have water, rocks and plants. This is the inspiration and advice of our February winner, Bobby Glenn of 125 East 49th Street. Although he would rather showcase his garden in the spring, which I’m sure is magical, it still shines with these elements despite our very wintery winter.

Zipperer Land Management and Brett Rattner help keep this yard looking perfect. A standout retaining wall holds it all in place, built by one of Savannah’s leading stone masons, Tom Schaub. With a fountain, pergola, brick paths and climbing roses and a very impressive sculpture; Bobby has a garden worthy of the Chinese saying. The sculpture was done by Savannah’s Very own Susie Chisholm!

Bobby added a dog run with artificial grass, a very clever idea to keep the yard and paws looking perfect.

Special thanks to Hester & Zipper from the Ardsley Park Chatham Crescent Garden Club for donating gift cards to our winners!
