Love, Laughter, and a Labradoodle Named Goose

If you’ve spent time strolling the streets of Ardsley or enjoying a walk near Daffin Park, chances are you’ve crossed paths with Caroline Page O’Neill and Thomas O’Neill—and very likely their four-year-old chocolate labradoodle, Goose. Having lived in Ardsley for just over two years, the O’Neills have quickly grown to love the charm, walkability, and sense of connection that make the neighborhood feel like home.
Caroline hails from Augusta, Georgia, while Thomas is originally from Columbia, South Carolina. Though their roots are in different cities, the two now share both a home and a profession right here in Savannah. Caroline and Thomas are both dentists and work side by side at Chatham Dental Care, a unique partnership that allows them to support each other professionally while giving back to the community they love.
Outside of work, their life revolves around simple joys and meaningful time together. Weekends often include relaxing with friends, traveling when they can, or exploring Ardsley on foot—with Goose happily leading the way. “He’s our whole world,” they say of their energetic and much-loved pup.
One of the most special traditions Caroline and Thomas share is their anniversary travel tradition. Each year, they celebrate their wedding anniversary by visiting a new country together. From Vancouver to Ireland, and next year’s planned adventure to the South of France, their travels are a way to celebrate marriage, curiosity, and shared experiences. It’s a tradition that reflects their love for discovery and for doing life as a team.
Community involvement is also important to the O’Neills. Through their dental practice, they give back locally, and they enjoy being active, visible members of the neighborhood—whether that means chatting with neighbors during walks or simply showing up and supporting the community around them.
When asked how they’d introduce themselves to a neighbor, Caroline keeps it simple—because that’s exactly how they live: friendly, approachable, and always happy to connect.
Be sure to say hello if you see Caroline, Thomas, and Goose out and about. They’re a smiling reminder that Ardsley is full of neighbors who make the community feel welcoming, connected, and just a little more joyful.
