Home of the Month
Ardsley Park homeowners share their favorite memories and features of this charming home on E 50th that have created such a beautiful way of life for their family....
What are the favorite features of your home in Ardsley Park?
Without a doubt, the kitchen. There’s an incredible amount of cabinet space, and even though it’s spacious, it still feels cozy and welcoming — the kind of place where everyone naturally gathers.
Another favorite detail is the wrought iron handrail leading to the second-floor bedrooms. It features a delicate twist design with Fleur-de-lis centered on each balustrade — a subtle architectural touch that adds elegance and personality.
Any recent renovations done to your home?
We’ve focused mostly on freshening things up with interior painting. Outside, we removed the outer row of shrubs along the front walkway to create more space and make it easier to move about — especially when carrying groceries or other items in from the car. Practical improvements that make everyday life smoother.
What are some favorite memories in your home and neighborhood?
Some of our sweetest memories are the simple ones — walking to nearby parks and playing catch with my son when we first moved in.
I also love stepping across the street to take in the house from a distance. There’s something special about its architecture — simple in design, yet grand in presence.
The neighborhood itself strikes the perfect balance: peaceful and quiet, yet full of life and a strong sense of community.
Any other comments you would like to share?
This home carries a quiet character — classic in spirit with thoughtful updates that give it a fresh touch. You can sit in any room, look out the windows, and imagine the original owners enjoying the very same scenic views.
It makes you wonder… did they feel this same sense of connection and community that makes Ardsley Park so special today?
