On the Move with the Damrons: Ardsley Park’s Energetic Family
The Damron Family is always on the go!
Originally from Indiana, Justin and Emily Damron have called Ardsley Park home for the past eleven years. With four kids—Mara (15), Finn (13), Edie (9), and Theo (6)—they’re a busy family who’s embraced everything Savannah has to offer. Their calendar is packed with sports practices and games, as the kids are active in everything from volleyball and soccer to basketball and lacrosse.
But it’s not all hustle and bustle; the Damrons love spending time together. “We love to travel, go on boat rides, try new restaurants, and take family bike rides,” Emily shared. They often make the most of long weekends and school breaks to explore new destinations or visit family. With both sides of their extended family living out of town, the Damrons also cherish holidays spent with neighbors, who have become like family over the years.
In addition to their busy home life, Emily and Justin work together at First City Dentistry, where Emily is a dentist, and Justin is an oral surgeon. Beyond providing care, they’re passionate about giving back to their community. Their practice supports initiatives like the Second Harvest food drives, adopting families in need during the holidays, and sponsoring the Ronald McDonald House. Together, the Damrons have created a lasting impact on the lives of their patients and the wider Savannah community.
Of course, no family is complete without pets, and the Damrons have two beloved dogs: Tulip, their quirky rescue doodle, and Birdie, their sweet-natured golden retriever. “Tulip didn’t have the best house manners when we adopted her,” Emily laughed. “She can sometimes be spotted lounging on our dining room table, squirrel-watching. We clean the table frequently!”
Next time you see the Damrons out and about in the neighborhood, whether on a family bike ride or walking the dogs, be sure to wave and say hello. They're always happy to connect with their Ardsley Park neighbors!
