John W. Reffel IV and Jeremy Reffel are Colorado natives who, from a young age, began working summers during high school and college, eventually advancingthrough roles as crew leaders and division managers before becoming co-owners of their family

business.Growing up in the industry has given John and Jeremy a deep respect for their team members, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to the values their family has built over the past 50 years. 

 

John lives in Castle Rock with his wife, Melissa, who also works at JLS, and their two

daughters, Sabrina and Cheyenne. Jeremy lives in South Denver with his wife, Megan, a NICU nurse,

and their son, Wesley.

JLS Landscape & Sprinkler is a 50-year-old, family-owned company founded in 1975 by John and

Jeremy’s grandfather and father ran a residential irrigation business. Over time, the company evolved,

and for the past decade, they have focused exclusively on commercial properties across Colorado, providing landscape maintenance, irrigation, and snow removal services for large office buildings, industrial spaces, retail centers, and campuses.

For 2026, they are excited to bring that level of expertise and years of experience back to residential

clients in Douglas County, supporting the same communities we live in and call home. Our mission is

to provide dependable, Class A landscape solutions for every season.

JLS offers full-service landscape care, including routine maintenance, spring and fall cleanups,

fertilization, mulch, aeration, sod installation, rock, trees, and turf care. The company also specializes

in irrigation services such as system activations, evaluations, repairs, installations, and ongoing

maintenance—making sure systems perform efficiently in Colorado’s challenging climate.

As Colorado natives, the JLS team understands the challenges posed by the state’s unpredictable

weather and climate. With that experience, they know how to plan and implement the right

solutions to keep clients’ properties healthy, functional, and looking their best year-round.

Community Contributions: Community involvement is a core part of who JLS is as a company. The

team participates in local service projects such as community workdays at Mount Saint Vincent and the BOMA Denver Metro Toy Drive. JLS remains highly active in BOMA, including serving on the Community Affairs Committee.

JLS has been a Castle Rock Chamber member since 2017 and recently joined the Castle Pines and

Larkspur Chambers of Commerce. The company also supports the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo,

as well as several Douglas County charities, including SECOR and Wellspring, and is proud to

participate in Leadership Douglas County.
