Celebrating Community: The Featherwalk Ladies Gather at the Sundial House

In the heart of BackCountry, a vibrant community tucked away from the hustle of daily life, a special group of women has come together to celebrate not just their surroundings but the bonds they share as neighbors and friends. Known affectionately as the Featherwalk Ladies, this group invites all the lovely women in the neighborhood to join in for a monthly coffee gathering at the charming Lost Coffee, situated conveniently at the entrance of BackCountry.

For 15 years, Linda Berggren, a devoted resident of this picturesque enclave, has been championing community spirit and connection among the women in the area. It was her vision to create a casual, friendly environment where stories could be exchanged, laughter could echo, and friendships could blossom. “BackCountry is more than just a place to live; it’s a place where we can come together to celebrate life and support one another,” Linda remarks, reflecting on the sense of camaraderie that she hopes to cultivate. Each month, the Featherwalk Ladies have gathered at Lost Coffee, which has become a beloved local spot known for its unique brews and inviting atmosphere. As the scent of freshly brewed coffee fills the air, the gathering serves as an oasis for the women who come together, ready to unwind and connect.  They recently switched to meeting at the Sundial House because parking has proven easier.

The informal nature of the meet-ups allows for a relaxed atmosphere where everyone feels welcome, and new friendships are formed effortlessly. While many of the participants already know each other well, every gathering is an opportunity to meet new faces and share experiences that enrich their lives. The conversations flow easily, covering everything from local events to personal stories, parenting tips, and even home improvement projects that enhance their BackCountry living experience. It is during these informal gatherings that the women share not only their aspirations and challenges but also the joys and triumphs of everyday life. As the Featherwalk Ladies continue to grow in number, they bring together a diverse group representing various backgrounds and life experiences.

This blend of perspectives contributes to the richness of their conversations, making every meeting a unique tapestry of thoughts and ideas. The warmth and kindness shared among the group foster an inclusive environment where each woman feels valued and heard. Beyond simply enjoying coffee and conversation, the Featherwalk Ladies also look to give back to the community they cherish. Periodically, they organize events or initiatives that support local charities, encouraging everyone to be stewards of kindness and generosity.

This collective spirit reinforces their understanding that as neighbors, they play an important part in both their own lives and the larger community. As the sun sets, casting a warm glow over the gathering, the Featherwalk Ladies leave with not just the delight of shared coffee but with connections that deepen year after year. As Linda notes, “It’s all about building relationships and creating lasting memories.” She encourages all women in the neighborhood to join in and share in the joy of living in BackCountry.

So whether you’re a long-time resident or a newcomer hoping to find your place in this beautiful community, the Featherwalk Ladies are eager to welcome you to their next monthly coffee gathering. Together, they celebrate friendship, community, and the simple joys of life in BackCountry, one cup of coffee at a time.
