Meet Maci Dallas Woomer: The Ultimate Family Dog

Barb E. Ville: Maci, it sounds like you’ve been part of the Woomer family from the very beginning! How did you find your forever home?
Maci: Oh, it was meant to be! Corey and Michelle were on their way to pick up their wedding rings when they saw a sign for free Boxer puppies. Michelle said they were "just looking," but as soon as I saw them, I ran right up and made it clear—I was going home with them. And, well, here I am!

Barb E. Ville: That’s such a sweet story! What’s the meaning behind your name?
Maci: My first name doesn’t have a big story, but my middle name, Dallas, is after Corey’s favorite football team—the Dallas Cowboys. I don’t know much about football, but I do know that Corey gets really excited when they play!

Barb E. Ville: Every pet has their quirks. What makes you unique?
Maci: Oh, I’m a bit of a diva when it comes to weather. Hot days? No, thank you. I’d rather be inside with the air conditioning. But when it snows? That’s a different story! It could be just a few flurries or a full-on snowstorm—I’m outside having the time of my life. Good luck getting me back in!

Barb E. Ville: Your family says you’re great with Lincoln and Lily. What’s your favorite thing about them?
Maci: Everything! They’ve grown up with me, and I love being around them. I cuddle with them, give them kisses, and make sure they know I’m always nearby. When Lincoln was sick with the flu, I stayed right by his side. That’s just what family does.

Barb E. Ville: Sounds like you’re quite the protector! Any funny memories from when you were a puppy?
Maci: One time, my family left me alone in the house without putting me in my kennel. Let’s just say I got a little… creative. I managed to rip open a couch cushion and spread stuffing everywhere. I may have even eaten some of it. Oops!

Barb E. Ville: It sounds like you’ve mellowed out since then, but you’re still living the good life. Would you say you’re spoiled?
Maci: Absolutely! I get all the belly rubs, hugs, and treats I could ever want—especially from Lincoln and Lily. They know exactly how to keep me happy!

Barb E. Ville: Before we wrap up, is there anything else we should know about you?
Maci: Just that I’m one lucky dog. My family loves me, and I love them right back. Oh, and my brother Diesel was featured in this magazine before—so I guess it runs in the family!
