Greetings, Neighbors! This month, Bay Oaks Beverages and Bites took us to Noon Mirch for a taste of authentic Indian and Nepalese cuisine. My first experience with Noon Mirch was through DoorDash when my pregnant wife, Kaitlyn, craved their food. While Indian food isn't usually in my top five, the dishes here were truly exceptional and may have changed my mind! 

The Indian food at Noon Mirch was FANTASTIC so pregnancy cravings or not, I can certainly see why Kaitlyn kept DoorDashing it to the house.

At this meetup, I was joined by fellow residents, and we indulged in a wide variety of dishes. One of the top must-have items we had were the Lamb and Chicken Samosas. I was told “if an Indian restaurant’s samosas aren’t good, just forget it.” Well have no fear, Noon Mirch’s samosas are excellent! We also had some Chicken Momo in a spicy sauce (which are Nepalese dumplings), hummus and naan chips, seasoned calamari accompanied with some crispy spinach leaves, delicious Mexican Masala Fries, special menu item lamb sliders, Bhindi Masala (another must-have items as mentioned from one of our group members) and honestly, probably, one or two other dishes that I missed. 

The cocktail lounge was an unexpected and welcome delight. Head Mixologist Benji offers 13 original craft cocktails. I tried the Smoked Woodford Old Fashion, a unique take on a classic. It was delivered to me in a glass cloche container, and when Benji took the top off he spritzed the smokey glass with some type of applewood perfume. I’m not sure exactly what it was (it wasn’t actually perfume), but it was a delicious concoction. The others enjoyed the Mango Tea, Priscillah’s Petal Punch which was inspired by and named after his girlfriend, spice-e-rita, and the Toki Lychee Delight. All of these craft cocktails have tremendous balance and were enjoyed by all the guests. 

Noon Mirch is a hidden gem in our part of the city, ideal for date nights, casual hangouts, or family meals. With an expansive and reasonably priced weekend buffet and weekday Happy Hour, it's a spot I highly recommend.
