The Bay Point Yacht Club gathered on the afternoon of September 1, 2025, for its annual Labor Day BBQ. The clubhouse was decorated simply, yet elegantly, with succulent centerpieces and table snacks on each table, creating a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere for members and guests.

Attendees embraced the end-of-summer vibes with patriotic or colorfully patterned apparel, which added to the relaxed spirit of the afternoon. The event featured a delicious barbecue feast, complete with BBQ chicken, burgers, and hot dogs. In addition to the barbecue spread, guests enjoyed the appetizers, desserts, and side dishes contributed by members based on last name. There were a wide variety of options, including corn salsa, potato salads, pasta salads, chips and dip, caprese, fresh salad, watermelon salad, brownies, cheesecake, and a choice of cream pies that everyone enjoyed throughout the night.

Gentle music played in the background as guests enjoyed cocktails, BBQ, and air-conditioning as they caught up and celebrated the holiday. Labor Day marks the start of the season for many of our neighborhood events and the end of travels for others, so there were lots of good conversations throughout the afternoon. 

Members left satiated with good food, good music, and of course, good company!
