Partner Spotlight

At just 20 years old, Michael, owner of Tree Life Services, has built a hands-on business rooted in hard work, consistency, and a deep connection to the community he grew up in. Raised in Brook Park and an early graduate of Berea-Midpark High School, he started Tree Life while still in school with a clear vision and a strong work ethic.

Much of his free time growing up was spent with family at their property in Ashtabula. Between outdoor projects, exploring the area, and time spent around a fire with their three family dogs, he developed a love for building and working with his hands. A major renovation on that property between 2017 and 2018 sparked his interest in carpentry and ultimately helped shape the foundation of his career.

Before fully growing his business, Michael gained experience across several trades. He worked on cemetery grounds crews, home renovations, rental rehabs, and landscaping crews. Each role helped him build skills, discipline, and a stronger understanding of the industry he would eventually step into full time.

“I started with client mowers before I could afford my own equipment,” he shares. “I worked wherever I could, learned as much as possible, and kept building from there.”

A Full-Service Approach
Tree Life Services offers a wide range of residential and commercial services designed to simplify property care for homeowners and businesses.

The company specializes in lawn care and landscaping, including routine maintenance, flowerbed rejuvenation and design, shrub and tree trimming, aeration, and overseeding. In addition, Tree Life provides handyman services, junk removal, tree trimming and removal, and custom craftsmanship projects. Interior and exterior work such as painting, flooring, trim work, and general renovations are also part of the service offering.

What sets Tree Life apart is its versatility and reliability. As a one-man operation, Michael provides direct communication, consistent quality, and a personal level of care on every project. Clients work directly with the person completing the job, ensuring accountability and attention to detail from start to finish.

Every property is treated with the same care and respect as his own, with a focus on delivering results that reflect pride in the work.

Built Through Growth and Experience
One of the biggest challenges Michael has faced is managing growth while maintaining quality. In the early stages, limited capacity meant turning down work. Over time, investing in better equipment and gaining experience allowed him to take on more projects and expand his capabilities.

That growth has helped Tree Life evolve from small jobs into a broader range of services, while still maintaining consistency and reliability for every client.

“I am grateful for every opportunity and every client,” he says. “That growth motivates me to keep improving and keep raising my standard of work.”

Rooted in Community and Family
For Michael, Tree Life is deeply connected to both family and community. When he is not working, much of his time is spent outdoors with family, whether hiking or spending time at their property in Ashtabula.

That property remains an important place for him, filled with ongoing projects, time spent exploring the area, and evenings around the fire with family and their three dogs.
His goal is simple. To be a trusted, reliable name in the community that people feel confident calling for any project, big or small.

Looking Ahead
The future of Tree Life Services is focused on continued growth, craftsmanship, and building a strong reputation based on trust and quality work.

Michael is especially excited to expand into more detailed landscaping work, including flowerbed design and rejuvenation. Paver retaining walls and custom landscape design projects are also part of his long-term vision.

“I am not here to blend in,” he says. “I want to stand out, raise the standard, and keep building something meaningful.”

More Than a Business
For Michael, Tree Life Services is more than a logo or a business name. It is a reflection of his journey, his values, and the reputation he is working to build in his community.

When someone calls Tree Life, he wants them to know they are getting honest work, personal attention, and someone who truly cares about the outcome.

“I want people to feel confident when they call me,” he says. “I am here to build trust, create relationships, and be someone this community can depend on.”
