HARD HATS AND HAMMERS
Kids craft, neighbors connect
A home under construction in Belle Haven became the setting for a lively community gathering as Character Companies hosted a recent “Little Builders Day” at 6123 Woodmont Road. In partnership with TTR Sotheby’s International Realty’s The Patterson Group, the event drew neighbors, friends, and families for a morning of hands-on fun and a behind-the-scenes look at the building process.
Attendees were invited to walk through the home during its drywall phase - an in-between stage that offered a unique perspective on how the space is taking shape. With walls up but finishes yet to come, visitors were able to better visualize the home’s layout while learning more about the craftsmanship involved in bringing it to life.
For many, the highlight of the day was geared toward the youngest guests. Children gathered in the future living room to build their own birdhouses, eagerly hammering, assembling, and decorating with help from Character Companies’ project managers. The activity added an interactive element that kept kids engaged while giving them a small project to take home.
The event offered more than just a preview of a new home - it created an opportunity for neighbors to connect and spend time together in a unique and welcoming setting. Moments like these reflect the sense of community that continues to define Belle Haven.
