Birdie Flynn Fall

Belle Haven’s Beach-Loving Bird Chaser

When Rachel and her family moved to Belle Haven in April 2022 after 16 years on Capitol Hill, they were looking for a neighborhood with a strong sense of community — and they found it. “We love the safety, cleanliness, and the neighbors we’ve gotten to know so well,” Rachel said. One of the family members who’s made the most local friends? Birdie Flynn Fall.
Birdie is a 6-year-9-month-old Springerdoodle with a big personality and even bigger enthusiasm for life. Rachel’s family has had Springer Spaniels since the 1950s, including a purebred show Springer until 2013. After being introduced to Springerdoodles through close family friends, they knew they had found the perfect fit. Birdie was flown in from Illinois in October 2019, and she’s been charming humans ever since.
And Birdie definitely loves humans. In fact, pleasing people may be her favorite hobby — right alongside chasing sandpipers at the beach. A perfect day for Birdie includes racing through the surf, sniffing every possible scent, and spending time with her favorite humans. She’s even mastered balancing on a surfboard in the ocean, which may officially make her Belle Haven’s coolest dog.
Closer to home, Birdie enjoys walks around Fort Willard, where the sniffs are top-tier. She also keeps a busy social calendar with neighborhood pals Gus, Mable, and Maverick. And if you see Jan and Betsy power-walking through the neighborhood, chances are Birdie is thrilled to spot two of her favorite people.
At home, Birdie is a fan of jumbo squeaky toys — especially giant carrots — and she never says no to a Greenies treat.
Whether she’s surfing waves, patrolling the beach for birds, or making friends around Belle Haven, Birdie Flynn Fall is living her best dog life — one squeak, sniff, and sandpiper at a time.
