Meet the Registers!
Blending families, building businesses...
If you’d told either of us back in 2015 that a rainy night in downtown Austin would lead to a blended family of seven, a house full of laughter and chaos, and a deep-rooted life in Belterra… well, we probably would’ve smiled politely and changed the subject. But here we are—living a life we couldn’t have scripted better ourselves.
Our story actually began before we met. In 2014, we both went through difficult divorces and found ourselves starting over—independently—in Austin. We weren’t chasing opportunity or reinvention at the time, just trying to rebuild and create a sense of stability for our kids and ourselves. Eventually, we both landed on eHarmony—hesitantly—and that’s where things began to change.
On May 13, 2015, we met for a date in downtown Austin. It was raining gently over Shoal Creek as we sat down to dinner. Conversation flowed easily, and by the time we ended the evening at Trifecta Pub, something had shifted. It was comfortable. It was natural. And it felt like the beginning of something real.
That night sparked a journey that carried us through years of parenting, healing, new traditions, and business-building. Eventually, we tied the knot on Valentine’s Day in 2025 and celebrated with a honeymoon in Thailand. We like to say our story is one of second chances, steady growth, and lots of laughter.
Today, we’re raising five kids and building a life full of movement, joy, and meaningful work. Aubrey, our oldest at 28, is married and living in Seattle. Chloe (16) is a figure skater who attends the Engineering and Science Academy at Austin High School. Roman (also 16) is a standout in robotics and Club volleyball with Austin Juniors and excelling in honors and AP courses at Dripping Springs High School.
Our youngest two—Hayden and Grayson—are both 13 and full of personality. Hayden plays basketball, sings in the boys’ choir, and plays percussion in the school band at O’Henry Middle School, all while handling advanced academics. Grayson is a trombone player, an academic high-achiever, and just launched his own YouTube livestream channel. From July through November, we celebrate a string of birthdays that basically turns fall into one big party season.
We both work full-time and pour a lot of ourselves into our businesses. He’s a consultant and programmer with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a talent for building practical tech solutions. One of his companies, Insurasoft, offers a proprietary platform that helps professionals manage liability insurance policies more efficiently. Another, RC Systems and Support, provides tech services to commercial clients and is now expanding into consumer-focused IT protection—offering tools like home network security, credit monitoring, and identity theft remediation. Always thinking ahead, he’s currently developing new specialty insurance offerings, including tailored coverage for high-value items like jewelry.
I’m a licensed Speech and Language Pathologist with 30 years of experience, and running my own practice is something I never imagined I’d love this much. My interest in how the brain works and a desire to help others led me to this career early on, and it’s been a constant passion ever since. About seven years ago, changes in Medicare began affecting the quality of therapy in home health, and I decided to take a leap and open my own clinic—where I could offer the kind of care I believed in.
Today, that clinic has grown into Bluebonnet Therapy Specialists. We’re transitioning from our original name, eSLP Clinic, to reflect the expanded scope of services we now offer. In addition to speech and language therapy, we provide physical therapy and will soon add occupational therapy to meet the needs of more clients. We treat patients across the lifespan—from newborns to older adults—and I genuinely love working with every age group.
We didn’t come to Belterra searching for a neighborhood—we found a community. We were drawn in by the trails, the neighbors who wave hello, the active lifestyle, and the small things that make a big difference when raising a family. Belterra is the kind of place where people still stop to chat, where kids ride bikes together, and where you feel like you belong.
Weeks start off with worship at Real Life Austin, giving us time to recenter before diving into a busy week. And each year, we’ve made it a tradition to take one family cruise. It started in 2022 with a Thanksgiving trip and quickly became something we all look forward to. Whether we’re headed to Mexico, Honduras, or Alaska, the destination isn’t what matters most—it’s that we’re going together.
Blending families, building businesses, and navigating life’s twists hasn’t always been easy—but it’s been worth it. We believe in faith, hard work, and showing up for each other every day.
We’re a little messy, a lot busy, and totally devoted to each other. Life may not always be calm or quiet, but it’s full of love—and that’s exactly how we like it. We’re proud to call Belterra home.
