Good Food, Greater Impact!
The annual Wild Game Dinner in Dripping Springs
The Wild Game Dinner charity fundraiser has brought the Dripping Springs community together since 1991 around the shared values of faith, family, and good BBQ! What started as a small gathering of friends has grown into one of the area’s most anticipated annual events, drawing hundreds of people each year to enjoy incredible food while making a difference in the greater Dripping Springs area. Over the past 35 years, the Wild Game Dinner has distributed more than $1.5 million to local organizations thanks to the generosity of local sponsors and event patrons.
As the Dripping Springs community has grown, so has the event. After outgrowing the Dripping Springs Middle School, High School, and meeting room in Ranch Park, the dinner is now held in the “Livestock Barn” (north annex) of Dripping Springs Ranch Park. We expect to serve over 900 guests at this year’s event on Saturday February 21st. Please visit www.DSWGD.com for tickets, sponsorships and details.
Each year, this charity fundraiser supports numerous local nonprofits. Last year’s “Paddles Up” beneficiary, Patriots Hall of Dripping Springs, received $15,000, an amount matched by the James Avery Foundation. The 2026 Paddles Up beneficiary is Sunrise Christian Schoolhouse, a local school in Dripping Springs. Additionally, over $120,000 was distributed to 30 other beneficiaries in 2025, including The Burke Center for Youth, Hometown Missions, and Hill Country Senior Center.
The heart of this event shines through the generosity of dedicated sponsors such as Austin Area Volvo Dealers, Elliott Electric Supply, Hog Heaven and Elite Beef. Their ongoing commitment helps ensure the impact of this event year after year. This year, guests will also enjoy elevated culinary offerings from Le Cordon Bleu classically trained chef Cody Kidwell, whose expertise brings both creativity and tradition to the menu. Expect a memorable spread featuring wild game favorites, elk, bison, scimitar oryx, venison, alongside beloved Texas BBQ, homemade sides, and desserts.
Dripping Springs native Jillian Hudson will once again take the stage. Paired with a professional auctioneer, the live auction will be action-packed and exciting. Guests can also browse a wide variety of silent auction items with something for everyone.
The Wild Game Dinner remains a beloved community tradition, offering a night of fun, generosity and lasting impact.
