2025 Christmas Benefit Dinner Supports Habitat Davie
The 2025 Christmas Benefit Dinner for Habitat Davie was held on Dec 2nd at Bermuda Village as a joint venture between Bermuda Village and the Davie Women’s Auxiliary (DWA).
The evening began with a festive cocktail and social hour as guests arrived and enjoyed piano music performed by DWA’s very own, Arla Cahill.
Christmas music filled the room as guests mingled, made introductions, and browsed the beautiful Silent Auction items generously donated by residents and businesses. Members of DWA also sold 50/50 raffle tickets throughout the evening.
Linda Ernst and Sue Whittaker, Co-Chairmen of DWA introduced Jessie Folger, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity/Davie County. Jessie spoke about the vital services Habitat provides to Davie County residents, including essential home repairs that help individuals remain safe in their homes. A presentation highlighted the most recent Habitat Home dedication and the family that will be receiving the next home was present. The family shared what the opportunity meant to them, delivering a moving and emotional message that deeply touched those in attendance.
The evening concluded with a lovely dinner followed by the announcement of the 50/50 raffle winner and presentation of the Silent Auction items to the winning bidders. The event was a wonderful celebration of the season of giving and a meaningful show of community support.
It was a wonderful event, enjoyed by all and resulted in a $10,830 gift to Habitat for Humanity/Davie County.
Plans are underway for the 2026 dinner to be held on December 1!
