Mocksville Woman’s Club Fundraiser Brings Community Together at Bermuda Run

The Mocksville Woman’s Club (MWC) hosted a vibrant fundraiser on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Bermuda Run Country Club, drawing members and supporters from across Davie County for a day of philanthropy, fellowship, and inspiration. The highlight of the event was a keynote address by Kristy Woodson Harvey, New York Times bestselling author, who spoke about her latest book, A Happier Life, and the power of community engagement.

Attendees enjoyed a lively atmosphere with a cash bar, a silent auction featuring local treasures, and the ever-popular 50/50 raffle. Funds were raised through ticket sales, the raffle, and spirited bidding during the auction, all supporting the club’s ongoing charitable projects and scholarships.

Mocksville Woman’s Club was founded in 1962 and affiliated with the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, MWC’s reach extends far beyond Mocksville. Members hail from across Davie County, meeting monthly at Bermuda Run Country Club to plan and execute service projects that benefit local veterans, seniors, children, and community organizations.
The fundraiser’s success will help fuel more projects in the coming year, as MWC continues its mission of service, education, and community support. The club welcomes new members and encourages anyone interested in making a difference to attend an upcoming meeting.
As Kristy Woodson Harvey reminded attendees, “A happier life is built on giving back and lifting up those around us.” The Mocksville Woman’s Club exemplifies that spirit, one project at a time.

Meetings will resume at 10:00AM on the second Wednesday of the month-beginning September 10. The club is welcoming new members.   For further information, contact Leigh Ann Joyce (info@sunburstcruises.com)
