Love Thy Neighbor

Something very special happened on November 16, 2025 in Kinderton Village. Let me tell you a story of friends, fun and a ton of generosity.

A special building lies on Lexington Road, Mocksville NC: A Storehouse for Jesus. A Storehouse for Jesus is a nonprofit, Christian ministry that helps people with their physical needs as well as their spiritual needs. They do this by sharing food, clothes, toys, and the Gospel to people in our community.

Now you’re probably wondering, “What does A Storehouse for Jesus have to do with Kinderton Village?” Well, a very special friend with a huge heart for her neighbors and people around her - Rebecca Woodall - had the amazing idea for a food drive up at the Clubhouse in Kinderton Village on November 16. Our lovely friends at Lowes Foods gave an extremely generous gift of fresh bread, cans of food, and diapers. A special shoutout to Jason, Bill, and Amanda of Lowes Food. Thank you for coming out and helping us load up the food!

Lowes donated:
  • 576 boxes of mac and cheese
  • 240 cans of beans
  • 480 large cans of apple sauce
  • 288 diapers
  • 55 fresh baguette
There was an additional 445 items donated by the community. The total of all the items was $2084.

Our community is truly one of a kind. So many kind people are willing to donate food and other items to help others in need. Words cannot describe how amazing our friends and neighbors are in Bermuda Run. Thank you all for what you did to help A Storehouse for Jesus meet our community’s physical and spiritual needs.
