Happy July, Bermuda Run!

Stephanie WIlson Hearn
Happy 4th of July, friends! I hope your summer is off to a festive start—filled with fireworks, family time, and maybe a little extra fun in the sun. Around here, summer means more than just backyard BBQs (though we love those too!)—it’s about celebrating the season, showing up for each other, and soaking in the goodness of community.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Stroll the Club: Summer Kickoff on June 20th at Bermuda Run Country Club! What a night—live country music, great food and drinks, and the best part… seeing neighbors mingle and make meaningful connections. These moments remind me why I do what I do.
This month, we’re recapping several incredible women’s events that have happened recently. From inspiring speakers to fun-filled luncheons, our community continues to show up and shine—and I love that we get to spotlight so many of those moments in our pages.
One of my personal highlights? Sponsoring the Davie Chamber’s Signature Women’s Luncheon in May. It was a room full of strong, driven women—many of whom live or work right here in Bermuda Run. I left feeling deeply proud to be part of this amazing network.
In June, I also attended a few days of training in Charlotte with the N2 Company, alongside other Stroll publishers from across North Carolina. We swapped ideas, stories, and encouragement—and came home with fresh energy and new ways to serve our readers and partners. (See photos!)
This month, I’m especially excited to feature the Munford family. A huge thank-you to Adero Munford for sharing her story and beautiful family with us. Families like hers are exactly what makes this place feel like home.
To everyone who shares content, sends photos, and offers kind words—thank you. I’m so grateful for your involvement. You help make Stroll more than a magazine; you make it a reflection of the people who live here.
And a sincere reminder to support our business partners. I’ve personally met with and vetted every one of them, and they’re the reason this magazine exists. When you need a trusted local resource, check here first—and let them know you saw them in Stroll!
Looking ahead, save the date for October 4th! We’re teaming up with the Town of Bermuda Run and the Humane Society of Davie County for a fall event we hope will involve lots of kids, pets, and joyful community connection.
Until then, stay cool, stay kind, and stay connected.
