The Annual Storehouse for Jesus Charity Luncheon was filled with holiday cheer on December 5th at Bermuda Run Country Club as the Ladies 9-Holers Golf group hosted this year’s event.   The ballrooms were beautifully decorated and The Bermuda Run Garden Club provided Amaryllises as centerpieces on each table.

 

Over 140 guests were in attendance with Donna Powell acting as the Master of Ceremonies.  Guests filled the ballrooms and moved the hearts of Storehouse Founder, Marie Collins and Executive Director, Debbie Crutchfield when presented with gifts of a record-breaking $17,193!  These monetary donations go towards not only food and supplies for the needy, but also basic operational costs for the building where so many are served.  During non-holiday periods, Storehouse sees and helps meet the needs of clients from Davie, Rowan, Yadkin, Iredell and Davidson counties. This year Storehouse served over 600 people from Davie County for the Christmas program!  

 

Many thanks to Leigh Ann Joyce, President of the BRCC Ladies 9-Holers Golf Group and to Gini Brannon for their extensive planning and organizing for this celebration.  In addition, we are thankful to the Bermuda Run Country Club Team, the General Manager, Brian Meeks, and the Event Sales Director, Sydney Stone for their generous contribution and service. The generosity of the community coming together is touching and inspiring and really makes a difference in the lives of so many.  

 

Each year, one of the following organizations plans and hosts the annual luncheon.  Next year, the Ladies’ 18-Holer’s Group will plan the celebration followed by the Tennis Group.  Plans are already underway for next year and we all hope to see again!
