Faith, Family, and Community: Meet the Munfords

Pastors, parents, and leaders—get to know the Munfords and their inspiring life in Bermuda Run.

If you’ve seen a smiling family enjoying the parks or events around Bermuda Run, chances are it was the Munfords—Nathan, Adero, and their three vibrant kids: Nathan V (9), Nia (6), and Nadia (5). Since moving to the neighborhood in 2020, they’ve become a joyful and active part of the community.
Nathan and Adero’s love story began in 2011 when they met through Christian Mingle. Adero, originally from Gainesville, Florida, and Nathan, based in North Carolina, spent weekends traveling to see one another until they tied the knot in 2014. Nearly 11 years later, their shared life is full of faith, family, and purpose.
Nathan works in business finance as an Accounts Receivable Manager in Mebane. Adero recently transitioned from a decade-long career with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist into full-time entrepreneurship. She now leads Munford Business Solutions, LLC, a consulting firm that designs and delivers training programs, coaching modules, and team development strategies for organizations across various sectors. She’s also certified as a speaker, coach, and trainer with the John Maxwell Leadership team, expanding the services she offers to clients nationwide.
In addition to their professional roles, the Munfords also pastor Mount Calvary Church in Winston-Salem, where they’re deeply committed to guiding others in faith. Nathan serves as the Youth & Young Adult Director for their church organization, helping shape lives both nationally and internationally.
Their children are just as impressive. Nathan V plays soccer at the YMCA, while Nia and Nadia are both immersed in dance—recital season is just around the corner! All three kids are recognized for academic excellence and strong character. Nia was recently honored with the 2024–2025 Character Education Award from Davie County Schools and named a Star of Honor by Wake Forest University. Both Nathan and Nia have received “Hero of the Month” awards in their classrooms for being role models.
The Munfords are big on family fun and downtime together. Friday nights mean homemade popcorn and a movie, and weekends are filled with church outreach or exploring local favorites like Milner’s and Fourth Street. Summers are for pool time at the YMCA, and in the kitchen, Nadia is quickly becoming the family’s sous-chef. She’s been cooking alongside her parents since she was three!
Adero is also active in the wider community. She recently joined the Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce, connecting with other business owners and enjoying the opportunity to build new local relationships. She also serves on the Principal Advisory Council at Pinebrook Elementary, helping shape initiatives that support students and families.
Their favorite part of Bermuda Run? “Even though it’s a large neighborhood, it has a small-town feel once you start connecting,” Adero says. “Our kids have so many friends nearby, and we love the parks and trails—it’s such a beautiful, welcoming place to live.”
Adero recalls meeting another mom at a local event after recognizing her from the pages of Stroll. That conversation led to discovering mutual friends in the faith community. “That connection wouldn’t have happened without this magazine,” she adds.
Her advice to new neighbors: “Get outside! Take walks, visit the parks, and use the sidewalks and trails. You’ll be amazed how many great people you meet just by being out and about.”
So if you see the Munfords around town—at the park, in church, or grabbing brunch—don’t be shy. They’re the kind of neighbors who always wave first, make room at the table, and remind us why community matters.
