Garden Club Brings Easter Creativity and Pollinator Awareness to Bermuda Run
The Bermuda Run Garden Club welcomed a special guest this season as “Easter Bunny” Diane Guthrie led a fun, hands-on workshop focused on creating beautiful Easter centerpieces. Members learned how to transform greenery into unique designs, trimming large palm leaves into smaller pieces, rolling aspidistra leaves to resemble bunny ears, and braiding variegated lily grass to form decorative handles for their Easter pots.
Pictured enjoying the workshop are Karen Cohn and Betsy Cochrane, along with Jenny Spencer and Stephanie Owen.
In addition to creative workshops, the Bermuda Run Garden Club continues to invest in the beauty and sustainability of our community. The club has introduced new QR code markers in the Pollinator Gardens, allowing visitors to easily identify each plant and learn more about its role in supporting pollinators. Featured here is Blue Star Amsonia, a favorite among beneficial insects.
Residents are encouraged to visit the Pollinator Gardens, located in Kinderton Village at the entrance to the tunnel under I 40, to discover which plants best support our local ecosystem. Looking ahead, Phase 2 of the garden, titled “Plant This, Not That,” will be installed this April.
