October is one of my favorite months in Bermuda Run. The cooler air, changing leaves, pumpkins on porches and busy community calendars make it feel like there is always something to enjoy.

As I looked through this month’s issue, one theme kept standing out to me: connection.

You’ll meet neighbors whose stories reflect strength, service, friendship and resilience. Ashley Bonasso shares her personal breast cancer journey and the strength she found in watching her mother walk that road before her. We also celebrate Carol Quinn and more than five decades of friendship and service in Bermuda Run.

You’ll find plenty of the lighter side of fall, too, from Halloween fun and a favorite seasonal recipe to community gatherings, local stories and plenty of reasons to get out and enjoy October.

I also hope you’ll join us for one of our Stroll Sips gatherings this month. Whether over coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening, these simple opportunities to connect are some of my favorite parts of what we do.

This season is a wonderful reminder to enjoy where we are, appreciate the people around us and make time for the moments that bring us together.
