For nearly two decades, he worked in residential and commercial landscape contracting, sculpting yards, gardens and hardscapes with a commitment to quality. It was his stewardship of the land and the lighting at Sierra Nevada Brewing Company that led to his passion for illuminating spaces. He was immersed in architectural and accent lighting, discovering how light could transform a space. His experience led him to found AVL Outdoor Lighting & Design in 2021, a locally owned business that provides custom outdoor lighting designs to homes and businesses across Western North Carolina.

It became a creative outlet for problem-solving, and my eye for detail fulfilled an unmet need.”
