Meet the Soss Family
and Our Favorite Getaways

For our family, travel has always been more than just a break from routine - it’s how we reconnect, make memories, and enjoy uninterrupted time together. These days, with two little adventurers in tow - Emma (4) and John (3) - our vacations look a bit different, but the heart behind them is the same.
Since moving to Bridlewood in 2021, we’ve made it a priority to find places where we can truly unwind, reset, and spend uninterrupted time together. That search led us to two spots we now love so much, we decided to open the doors and share them with others: a cozy cabin retreat in Broken Bow and a breezy beach house along 30A.
We first discovered 30A in 2020, and it was love at first sight. Tucked along Florida’s Emerald Coast, this stretch of beach quickly became my “happy place” - sugar-white sand, clear turquoise water, and charming towns like Seaside and Rosemary Beach. Our home there, Sugar Magnolia, is just steps from both public and private beach access. It’s fully remodeled with three bedrooms and three baths, including designer touches throughout and a custom bunk room that sleeps five (perfect for little ones and grown-ups alike). The screened-in porch is my favorite spot after a long beach day, and the complimentary bikes and beach gear make it easy to explore without overpacking.
We’ve had so many meaningful moments here - from Emma catching her first Pompano off the shore with Stephen, to evening bike rides along the water with sleepy toddlers in tow. It’s more than a house—it’s where we go to unplug and focus on what truly matters.
When we’re craving towering pines instead of coastal breezes, we head to Broken Bow, Oklahoma. We fell in love with the peaceful vibe, the scenic lake, and how easy it is to unplug. Our cabin there is called Livin’ on a Prayer, a name that’s both playful and personal to us. Designed with a Danish-inspired feel, it’s a warm, welcoming space for families. There are two king master suites (a must for grandparents or friends joining in), and a spacious loft with a queen bed, twin, and full trundle.
What makes it extra fun for the kids is the brand-new custom playground and outdoor space. After hiking, fishing, or exploring Hochatown’s wineries and shops, we love gathering around the fire pit for s’mores - John always insists on being the first to roast his marshmallow. The private hot tub, coffee bar, and included firewood are just a few of the little touches we’ve added to make it feel like home.
It’s been a joy opening these homes to other families. We know how important it is to find a spot that’s not only beautiful but also thoughtfully prepared - somewhere you can show up, settle in, and not worry about a thing. If you book directly with us, we’re always happy to share local tips and help you make the most of your stay (and you’ll save on third-party fees, too).
Whether you're dreaming of coastal breezes or cozy cabin mornings, we’d love to host your family soon.
