A passionate counselor with nearly a decade of experience is reaching out to the Bridlewood community, offering faith-based support for women navigating life's challenges.
When Dominique Derden launched Thriving Hearts in the fall of 2024, she brought with her nearly ten years of counseling experience and a deeply personal mission. As a faith-based counseling practice, Thriving Hearts specializes in helping women navigate difficult seasons with biblical tools and Christ-centered support.
"I love ministering to others who are in the muck and the mire. Broken, hurting, messy people are my kind of people. I don't judge, just love," shares Dominique, whose approach has already made a significant impact in the lives of many clients. Her practice offers individual counseling and educational speaking services, all designed to equip women to embrace their freedom and identity in Christ.
The mother of two—12-year-old daughter Presley and 10-year-old son Parker—lives in Ponder with her husband Josh. While not a resident of the community herself, Dominique has been drawn to the area by its strong sense of connection. "I love seeing so many people out walking and kids out playing. It's obvious that it is a community and not just individual homes with isolated families," she explains.
Dominique's path to establishing Thriving Hearts reflects a personal commitment to helping others through their own struggles. "I draw from my own personal trials and deep rooted love of Jesus to offer a helping hand to the next woman," she says. As the owner, operator, and sole employee of the practice, she creates an environment where clients report feeling "instantly comfortable" sharing their challenges.

Her counseling work has yielded what she describes as miraculous results—marriages restored, addictions overcome, and trauma healed. Sponsoring sessions for another woman is a great way to support!" This approach creates opportunities for healing that extend beyond individual families and into the broader community.
