Wholesale Granite Countertop —

Crafting Legacy in Stone

When you step inside Wholesale Granite Countertop, you’re not just walking into a fabrication shop — you’re stepping into nearly 50 years of Oklahoma family legacy.
The story begins with former Oklahoma City fire captain, Doyal Mainus, who launched Mainus Marble & Tile in the late 1970s. What started as a side job grew into one of the state’s most influential granite businesses. Doyal, an inventor at heart, built his own tools, developed unique polishing techniques, and mentored craftsmen who still shape stone today.
In 2005, his son John Mainus founded Wholesale Granite in Blanchard, carrying the family craft into a new era. The shop quickly became a cornerstone of Oklahoma’s construction and remodeling scene, producing natural stone countertops and surfaces with unmatched skill. Today, John’s daughter, Jill Mainus, proudly leads the company, continuing the legacy while bringing fresh energy.
“It has its ups and downs working with family,” Jill laughs, “but I’ve loved learning the industry and getting to do this every day.”

A Team Built to Last
Wholesale Granite’s reputation is strengthened by its loyal, experienced team. Vic Goodnight, John’s longtime right-hand man, remains a key part of operations after decades in the industry. Shop foreman Matt Bell has been with the Mainus family for 25 years, and lead installer Kevin Dunn has 21. All three trained under Doyal and have helped shape the company’s standard for craftsmanship.
“These guys know the craft inside and out,” Jill says. “They started back when everything was done by hand — and we still hand-finish many of our details. It’s an art form.”
The shop functions like a family, with most fabricators staying for years. “In this industry, that kind of loyalty and continuity is rare,” Jill adds.

From Kitchens to Stadiums
Wholesale Granite’s work can be found across Oklahoma — from custom kitchen remodels to stadiums, restaurants, and community developments. Their craftsmanship appears in the OU Football Stadium’s conference tables, Love’s Field and OU Softball facilities, and restaurants like Ted’s Café Escondido and Interurban. They also contributed to the second phase of Brookhaven’s neighborhood development.
Customers often return decades later for new projects or touch-ups. “Even after Mainus Marble closed, we still helped with jobs we didn’t install,” Jill says. “We take care of people.”

Craftsmanship That Lasts
What sets Wholesale Granite apart is its commitment to in-house fabrication and quality. Many competitors outsource, but the Mainus family has been shaping stone from start to finish since the beginning — long before it became the industry standard.
“We were one of the first granite fabricators in Oklahoma,” Jill notes. “Most other shops trace their roots back to ours. We’re the OGs of the industry.”
Their team guides clients through every step — from layouts and lighting to tile pairings — ensuring each project is a perfect fit.

Family and Community at the Core
Beyond business, Wholesale Granite supports local schools, veterans, and community events. They’ve donated granite for plaques, charity auctions, and even crafted custom pet headstones. Jill’s niece, Elizabeth, manages social media, bringing a modern touch to their old-school craft — including viral TikTok installs that introduce a new generation to their work.
What makes Jill proudest? “The craftsmanship, the people, and what we sell — natural stone is Mother Nature’s art,” she says. “We’re just lucky enough to work with it.”
