The Breeden family has some exciting news to share—there’s a brand-new addition to their crew! Becca, Spencer, and big brother Ward are overjoyed to welcome Brooks Lee Breeden, who made his grand entrance into the world on July 3, 2024, at 7:34 AM. Weighing in at 4 lbs 15.7 oz and measuring 18.9 inches long, little Brooks may have arrived a bit early, but he was absolutely perfect and welcomed with so much love.

The Breedens have called this neighborhood home for the past four years and cherish the sense of nostalgia and warmth that fills the streets. Whether it’s watching kids walk to school, ride their bikes to Buie’s, or simply seeing neighbors greet each other with a smile, they know this community is something special. That warmth was never more evident than when they brought Brooks home after nearly a month in the hospital. Friends and neighbors welcomed him with a heartfelt “Welcome Home Brooks” sign, a gesture that meant the world to the family.

Choosing a name for their newest family member was a special moment—one that happened, fittingly, while watching golf! Both Becca and Spencer fell in love with the name Brooks. His middle name, Lee, is a tribute to Becca’s beloved childhood nanny, Ethel Lee, whose deep faith, joyful spirit, and contagious laughter left a lasting impact on her life.

Big brother Ward, who had just turned two on July 11, wasn’t quite sure what to make of Brooks at first, but he quickly adjusted. Now, he showers his baby brother with kisses and the occasional enthusiastic hug. Their growing bond is already bringing so much love—and a little bit of chaos—to the Breeden household! Even Reynolds, the family’s eight-year-old Dalmatian, has been keeping a watchful eye on his new little human.
