January 2026 blew in with an ice storm that gripped North Texas for 4 days covering trees and roads with freezing rain, ice and sleet even something we had not heard of before - "freezing fog". Schools closed, mail delivery and trash pickup were halted. Airports came to a ground stop and travel was delayed for thousands. We asked our BC families to send in pictures of how they spent their time and this is a small sampling of our neighborhood children and dogs at play making the most of the unexpected free time creating new memories.
