Meet the Andersen family, new neighbors who moved into their home on Tennis Village Drive this past January. Blake and Kelli, along with their children Logan, Emma, and Archer, relocated from Forney, where they had lived since 2020. After Archer was born, they realized they needed more space for their growing family—and for Blake’s career, which required a dedicated home office. But let’s step back to the beginning of this young family’s story.

 

Kelli and Blake are college sweethearts who met as freshmen at the University of Utah. Blake grew up in Salt Lake City, while Kelli came from a military family that moved frequently—even living in Canada—before eventually settling in a small town outside of Los Angeles. The couple met in 2013, married in 2016, and will celebrate their 10th anniversary this May.

 

At the University of Utah, Blake majored in accounting, earning both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees before passing the CPA exam. He began his career with Big Four firm PwC and was later relocated to its Dallas office. Blake and Kelli first settled in Lewisville, then built a home in Forney as they started their family. A few years ago, Blake left PwC and now works as a consultant with the Connor Group, helping growing companies navigate finance, accounting, and technology issues.

 

Kelli earned her certification as a medical assistant and worked in healthcare until Logan was born, when she became a stay-at-home mom. Now busy with three young children, she enjoys reading—she’s in two book clubs—crafting, embroidery, and is currently training for a half marathon she’s running this month.

 

Seven-year-old Logan is a first grader at Pullen Elementary. A typical boy, he loves anything with wheels and enjoys water activities like swimming, boating, wake surfing, and fishing—interests reflected in his three fish tanks. His favorite school subjects are art, where he loves to draw, and math. Always eager to try new things, Logan has played soccer and T-ball, taken riding lessons, and is currently learning piano. Logan recently shaved his head in solidarity with and to support his grandma who is undergoing chemotherapy.

 

Daughter Emma has an outgoing and social personality. A true “COVID baby,” she was born with the virus in November 2021 but is now a healthy four-year-old Pre-K student at Lil’ Voyagers in Rowlett and will attend kindergarten at Pullen next fall. A girly girl, Emma loves unicorns, dressing up in princess dresses, and playing with makeup. She also enjoys the outdoors—riding her bike, skateboarding in the neighborhood, and playing soccer with the Rockwall i9 sports. Emma and Logan also like helping Kelli in the kitchen as sous chefs when baking special treats.

 

Eleven-month-old Archer is described by Blake and Kelli as the “happiest” baby, with a contagious smile and laugh. He loves being around his big brother and sister, who adore having him as their baby brother. Already very mobile, Archer is pulling himself up and getting ready to take his first steps.

 

Blake grew up mountain biking and snowboarding, and he and Kelli are passing their love for the outdoors to their kids. Family activities often revolve around outdoor fun—bike rides, hikes, water sports, and trips to the park, with Harry Myers Park a favorite. The family are also big Dallas Stars fans, and a game—often paired with dinner at Rodeo Goat or Gloria’s at the Harbor—makes a perfect date night for Blake and Kelli.

 

While living in Forney, the Andersens spent a lot of time in Rockwall and became familiar with the Buffalo Creek neighborhood. When they began searching for a larger home to fit their growing family, Buffalo Creek topped their list thanks to its proximity to great schools, their church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and convenient shopping and entertainment. They love living on the cul-de-sac of Tennis Village Drive, surrounded by welcoming and friendly neighbors. Welcome, Andersen family—we wish you many happy years of making memories in your new home!
