While John Stevens is the sole owner, the family-operated business is supported by his wife Dee, who also has a 26 year career with Wells Fargo, and other family members who assist with daily operations. Today, Stevens Electric has grown to a team of more than 15 employees, including skilled electricians and support staff.

 

Commercial services account for approximately 70% of Stevens Electric’s business. The company provides electrical services for Ulta Beauty locations throughout the Southwest and serves as a preferred electrical service provider for Allen Premium Outlets, The Parks Mall at Arlington and Senox Manufacturing, as well as Gateway Buick GMC and Jupiter Chevrolet on I-635, among other clients.

 

Residential services remain a core part of Stevens Electric’s business. No job is too large or too small for John and his team of experienced, professional electricians. John and Dee call McLendon-Chisholm home, and this September they will celebrate their 22nd wedding anniversary. Their twin daughters, Addy and Lexi, are college sophomores who continue to pursue their passion for dance—Addy as a member of the Sam Houston State University Orange Pride Dance Team, a multi-year national championship program, and Lexi as a member of Kilgore College’s Rangerettes, one of the most recognized dance teams in the world. Their son Bentley is a freshman at Rockwall Heath High School, where he will compete for the quarterback position on the freshman football team. He is also an avid golfer and enjoys playing at Buffalo Creek Golf Course, with plans to try out for the high school golf team. John maintains his own commitment to discipline and fitness, beginning each day with a 4:50 a.m. workout in his home gym.

 

The Stevens family are long-time members of Lake Pointe Church. John serves in the Warehouse 45 ministry, working with 4th and 5th graders, while Dee has spent years caring for and teaching babies and toddlers. As a family, they enjoy traveling and are planning a trip to Switzerland to coincide with Lexi’s Rangerettes competition. They also love hosting family and friends at home, where they enjoy some competitive play on their basketball and pickleball courts. Between running a business, supporting their children’s activities, and serving their church, free time is limited. When they can make the time, John and Dee enjoy a relaxing date night at one of their favorite Rockwall restaurants, Mi Cocina, where they can reconnect and enjoy time together.
