Darren Rak, owner, developer, and CEO, launched development of Oasis Beach and Tennis Club in 2011. In 2014, he partnered with Urban Air as the first franchisee, adding an indoor adventure park for children. At the time, Urban Air had just three locations nationwide; today, it operates more than 200 parks across the United States.

Urban Air Adventure Park provides a safe place to explore exciting activities for all levels of adventurers.  The park includes trampolines, a warrior course, a tubes kiddie playground, Skyrider, climbing walls, a suspended ropes obstacle course, bumper cars, virtual reality, and a 4-lane warrior obstacle course. The Park will soon will begin the construction of four 20-foot-tall slides: Launch slide, Tube slide, and Surf and Racer slides to add to the park. Urban Air Rockwall has been voted “Best Place for Kids Birthday Parties” four years in a row by Living Magazine!

As pickleball surged in popularity, Darren transformed Oasis’ original tennis courts into pickleball courts, creating the Oasis Pickleball Club of Rockwall—the largest pickleball facility in Texas. With 42 courts, including eight enclosed courts and two championship courts, Oasis hosts some of the nation’s premier tournaments, attracting thousands of players and spectators while boosting the local economy. Oasis is also introducing TYPTI, a new racquet sport that blends elements of tennis and pickleball, and is played on a pickleball court with a 22-inch racquet and a 3.5-inch foam ball. As a member of the TYPTI Founders Club, Oasis is the first facility to bring the sport to Texas.

Oasis also features an exclusive members-only Beach Club, complete with a resort-style swimming pool and sand volleyball arena. Open seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day, the Beach Club offers a premier summer experience. Oasis recently expanded its amenities with a state-of-the-art pro shop featuring top brands such as Maui Jim, lululemon, SKECHERS, FILA, and Selkirk.

Darren acknowledges it takes a village to run such an extraordinary property.  Urban Air and the Oasis Pickleball & Beach Club employs more than 50 staff ranging in age from 16-65. DeAnna Irvin is the General Manager of the park and Gene Click is the Pickleball director. The park is open every day for members as well as open play for all ages, creating a social setting bringing all generations together.
