Nestled in the quiet countryside of Olalla, Washington, EB Daniel’s Farm and Garden began not as a business, but as a way of life. In 1994, Broox Daniel started the farm for personal use—growing food for her own table, tending the land with care, and raising animals with respect. Over time, the abundance of the harvest was shared with family and friends. What began as a personal project slowly blossomed into a community endeavor, rooted in generosity, sustainability, and the belief that good food brings people together. 

In 2020, amid the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Broox and her husband Eric officially launched the business side of the farm. Recognizing that local pick-up had become difficult for many neighbors, they began by delivering eggs once a week to a small group of households. To make the process easier and safer, they created a simple online store featuring a handful of products from the farm. That effort quickly grew—what began with eggs from their 400 laying chickens and a few vegetables is now a robust online marketplace with over 100 farm-fresh items. Weekly deliveries have become a full-time operation, connecting more people than ever to healthy, local food. Their two children also love to participate in poultry shows and market animals, bringing an extra layer of passion and joy to the farm’s day-to-day operations. With the addition of a commercial greenhouse, the farm is able to produce seasonal food faster and in greater abundance, extending the growing season and offering more options to customers. 

Committed to sustainability and soil health, EB Daniel’s Farm and Garden proudly follows organic, no-till farming practices. Rather than disturbing the soil with heavy machinery, the farm builds fertility naturally through composting, cover cropping, and minimal intervention. This approach helps retain moisture, foster beneficial microorganisms, and reduce erosion—supporting a healthier ecosystem from the ground up. The result is not just better produce, but a deeper harmony with the land itself. 

But EB Daniel’s is more than just vegetables. The farm also raises poultry and pigs, offering fresh eggs and high-quality pork products to local families. Every animal is cared for with respect, and every product reflects the farm’s commitment to sustainable and humane agriculture. 

In addition to on-farm sales, EB Daniel’s offers a wide variety of products through a popular Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) subscription program, with free weekly home delivery. This service makes it easy for customers to enjoy fresh, local food right from the source. The farm also proudly supplies produce and meat to several local businesses, strengthening the local food economy and building relationships throughout the community. 

In addition to offering fresh food, EB Daniel’s Farm and Garden provides educational opportunities for the community. The farm hosts tours, giving visitors an up-close look at farming practices and sustainable living. Broox and Eric also lead classes on gardening, animal husbandry, weed management, and propagation, sharing their knowledge with others eager to learn the art of growing and raising food.
