That drive for excellence starts at the top. For Dr. Brett Murphey, dentistry is more than a

profession - it’s a calling rooted in faith, family, and service. After growing up in nearby Spring,

Murphey initially planned to become a physician. But one mission trip to Mexico during college

changed everything. Invited by Dr. T. Bob Davis, Murphey witnessed firsthand the power of

dental care in underserved communities and he’s returned every year since to continue that

work.

He graduated with honors from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston, where he

served as Class President and was recognized for his exceptional patient care. Today, he leads

Woodlands Family Dental, a practice built on the same values that led him to dentistry in the

first place: excellence, hospitality, and heart.

Murphey opened his first location in 2007, just days before his daughter was born, with a

mission to serve families with advanced care and a five-star experience. That vision has since

expanded to include a second location in Creekside and a third in West U, offering everything

from preventive care and veneers to dental implants and full-mouth restorations, all under one

roof.

What truly sets Woodlands Family Dental apart is its warm, spa-like environment and a team

Outside the office, Murphey’s heart for service continues. Alongside his wife Crystal and their

three children — Ellie, Brett Jr., and Corbin he spent two and a half years living abroad on a

boat, investing deeply in family time. That experience strengthened their bonds and gave them

a renewed appreciation for The Woodlands, the community they’ve called home for over 20

years.
