A Summer Breeze and a Mimosa

While real-life cowboys were getting hot and dusty competing in the Wildest, Richest Rodeo across town, dozens of women gathered at Swill Coffee & Wine for the “Summer Breeze Fashion Show. “ Eight lovely models sashayed about in the latest cool, diaphanous styles as Boutique Elegante’s owner—and fashion stylist—Terri O’Brien narrated the collection specially curated for the show.

The beauty of the fashions at the boutique is that they offer separates and many one-of-akind items. The fashion show featured many casual wear ensembles as well as simple summer dresses that could be styled for a night on the town or a garden wedding. A particular nifty handkerchief top modeled could be worn backwards or inside out, creating four separate color looks—perfect for travel. Terri invited the women to visit her boutique a few doors down, to select clothing that reflects the individual woman’s style. The separates are modestly priced, allowing for the finishing touches of a scarf, purse, or jewelry.

The guests at this complimentary fashion show included members of the venerable Twentieth Century Club (including the current president and three past presidents that live in the Lakeridge community). Many members of the local Folded Wings club attended as well, in addition to a sprinkling of resident recipients of Stroll Lakeridge magazine. The ladies sipped on Mimosas and nibbled on a variety of tasty quiche provided by Swill and Stroll. They were also treated to prize drawings of gift certificates to Boutique Elegante and specialty candles for the home. Terri just turned a fantastic 90 years young and has been in the ladies fashions retail business for 50 years! Please shop local and visit Boutique Elegante for your updated wardrobe fashions, perfect for summer parties and get-togethers, cruises and other travels!

Thank you to Peter and Wayne, owners of Swill, for graciously providing complimentary free-flowing Mimosas! To learn more about the Twentieth Century Club, visit twentietgcenturyclub.org.
