Founded in 2021, My Baby Detailing has quickly become a trusted name in automotive care in the Center Grove area. What started as a passion project for owner Dave Barnett has grown into a thriving business employing six team members who share the same enthusiasm for cars, motorcycles, and everything in between.

A Passion Turned Profession

Dave’s love for vehicles runs deep. With a background in manufacturing and engineering, he has always been process-oriented—an approach that translates into consistent, high-quality results for clients. His inspiration came, in part, from a cherished family car: a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro his father purchased second-hand in 1968. Over the years, Dave, his father, and now his son Preston have enjoyed countless hours caring for and cruising in the Camaro. That legacy of care is now part of the culture at My Baby Detailing.

More Than Just a Name

Car enthusiasts often affectionately refer to their vehicles as their “baby.” That sentiment became the heart of the business name: My Baby Detailing. As Dave puts it, “Your baby is our baby at My Baby Detailing.”

Services That Protect and Preserve

The shop specializes in Ceramic Coatings, Paint Protection Film (PPF), and Window Tinting, in addition to professional detailing services for the interior, exterior, and even engine bays of cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, and trailers. Every member of the team has received formal training in the installation of paint protection film and window tinting, ensuring a professional finish every time.

A typical day begins at 8 a.m. with clients dropping off their vehicles. For convenience, a courtesy shuttle transports customers to work, school, or home while the team gets to work. Under the guidance of team leader Sal, technicians prepare each car for the day’s scheduled services. Every vehicle undergoes a thorough quality check before being returned to its owner—often sparkling better than new.

Dave lives in Center Grove with his wife, Colleene, their daughter Haniah (11), and son Preston (8). The Barnett family enjoys outdoor adventures together, from hiking and biking to roller skating. Haniah is passionate about art and dancing, while Preston pursues Taekwondo at Greenwood Christian Martial Arts Academy. Of course, cars and motorcycles are still a big part of the family’s hobbies—something Dave and Preston especially bond over.
