Meet Your Publisher
Jennifer Johnson
Jennifer Johnson is the publisher and founder of Stroll Chandler Ocotillo and BeLocal Chandler. She launched Chandler’s Stroll in March 2012 after seeing strong interest from both residents and local businesses in a community magazine for the area. In March 2020, she launched BeLocal Chandler, a newcomers’ guide connecting new residents with trusted local businesses. Jennifer grew up in Wisconsin and holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She began her career in Chicago and moved to Arizona for Super Bowl XXX, working on national product launches. Before transitioning into publishing, she worked at ASU’s Institute for Humanities Research, supporting visiting fellows, administering grants, and coordinating events. Jennifer and her husband—a retired U.S. Air Force veteran now working in robotics—live in the Valley with their two very spoiled rescue dogs, Peewee and Tamale. They are the proud parents of two adult children.
