Where Expertise Meets Personalized Care

Chappaqua's Dr. Mohini Rawat is transforming physical therapy with advanced diagnostics, one-on-one treatment, and a philosophy that puts patients first.

At its heart, Mohini Rawat Physical Therapy exists because patients deserve more — and Dr. Rawat had spent too many years watching them not get it. After two decades inside traditional physical therapy settings, she kept seeing the same pattern: patients shuffled between providers, treated in crowded gyms, sent home without anyone ever truly explaining what was wrong. So she built the practice she had always wished existed.

Currently at 175 King Street Dr. Rawat brings 20 years of clinical experience to Chappaqua — along with credentials that are genuinely rare. She is the first physical therapist ever to receive the FAIUM designation (Fellow of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine), co-founded the American Academy of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, authored a published textbook, and has consulted with professional sports organizations, including Major League Baseball.

What makes the practice distinct is both simple and increasingly uncommon: when you book an appointment, you get Dr. Rawat for the entire session, every time. No aides, no handoffs, no shortcuts. Layered onto that one-on-one commitment is access to advanced diagnostics — musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging and EMG/Nerve Conduction Studies — that most patients would otherwise need multiple specialist referrals to access. With Dr. Rawat, everything happens in one place, integrated into a single, coherent plan. The practice also offers dedicated Wellness and Sports Recovery programs for those looking to stay ahead of injury and perform at their best.
The patient story Dr. Rawat holds closest captures why she practices the way she does. A woman had lived with severe hip pain from rheumatoid arthritis for 20 years — through pregnancies, through years of progressive stiffness, with surgery feeling inevitable. Within a month of intensive one-on-one sessions, the patient was largely free of pain that had been her constant companion for two decades. And her surgery? That was postponed by 15 years!

Dr. Rawat deliberately chose to open her practice in Chappaqua in September 2025 — she lived in Westchester years ago and always planned to return. She was drawn by the schools, the trails, and a community whose values she recognized as her own: depth over speed, quality over volume. She joined the Chamber of Commerce on day one, has hosted free injury workshops and ultrasound screenings at Saw Mill River Club, and is actively building relationships with local physicians, surgeons, and wellness professionals.

Looking ahead, she is developing a high-end musculoskeletal metrics program to help patients monitor and optimize their health proactively — bringing the kind of data-driven, precision care previously reserved for professional athletes to the broader Chappaqua community.

When she is not seeing patients, you will find her painting, gardening, or hiking the local trails with her family — pursuits that, she says, make her a better clinician. More present, more patient, more grateful.
