What's your name?
Steve Cadet
Please tell us a little about yourself (background, education, immediate family members,
etc.)
I'm a Licensed Practical Nurse with a Master's in Healthcare Administration, and Altuvo is a locally owned Atlanta business, I live here with my wife and son. Over the course of my career, I've worked across nearly every corner of senior and hospice care: in-home care, community based care, private duty, the full spectrum. That experience means I know exactly what to ask and what to look for when a family is trying to find the right place for someone they love, and it's a big part of why I started Altuvo.
What's the history and mission of your business? What inspired you to start your
business?
Altuvo was born out of watching families struggle to navigate senior living decisions without a trusted guide in their corner. Having worked across nearly every corner of senior and hospice care, in-home, community based, private duty, I saw firsthand how confusing and fragmented the system can be, and how often families are left to figure it out alone. Too often, they turn to national websites that operate on a lead generation model, where the community that pays the most gets recommended, not necessarily the one that's the best fit. I started Altuvo to do it differently: to walk alongside families from that first phone call all the way through move in day and beyond, with their loved one's well being as the only priority.
What types of services does your business offer?
Altuvo is a senior living placement concierge service based in Metro Atlanta. We help families understand their options, tour communities, compare costs and care levels, and make a confident decision.
What's unique about your business? What sets you apart from the rest?
Unlike national aggregators, Altuvo isn't built on a lead handoff model. We stay involved through the entire journey, not just the referral. We do not give you a “To do list”, we do it for you with you in control. We tour the communities with you, help you gather the medical paperwork needed for the move, and we give you all the resources needed to make the actual move happen. If you want us to coordinate the actual move for you, we can do that as well.
We've placed numerous Buckhead area families in senior living communities, and that local, on the ground experience is something a national call center simply can't offer.
How does your business connect with and contribute to the local community?
We've helped numerous families in Buckhead and the surrounding area find the right senior living community for their loved ones. Because we work face to face with local families rather
than through a call center, we understand the specific communities, price points, and care options available right here, and we bring that local knowledge to every family we work with.
Every business faces challenges. Can you share insights into any challenges your business has overcome and the growth that resulted?
Building trust takes time, and in our business, growth doesn't come from advertising, it comes from relationships. Early on, the biggest challenge was building the kind of referral network that
lets families find us when they need us most. We've spent real time building relationships with local healthcare providers, aging services organizations, and elder care professionals across metro Atlanta, and that word of mouth network has become the foundation of how we grow. It's slower than paid marketing, but it means every family that finds us comes through someone who already trusts us.
What's your vision for the future of your business? Please share any upcoming projects,
milestones, or events you're excited about.
We're focused on deepening the kind of trusted partnerships we've built with organizations like Cobb County Senior Services, extending that same model of unbiased, local guidance to more
communities across metro Atlanta, including right here in Buckhead.
Given your professional expertise and experiences, what advice do you have for our residents, if any?
Start the senior living conversation earlier than you think you need to. Families often wait until a crisis forces the decision, which limits options and adds stress. The earlier you start exploring,
the more choices and peace of mind you'll have.
Do you have any client testimonials you'd like to share?
"Steve's organization, responsiveness, and deep experience made a difficult process much easier. Most importantly, he helped us make a confident decision during a stressful time."
-Alan W., worked with Altuvo to relocate his father from out of state.
"Thanks to Steve and the full service of Altuvo, Edward is in his happy new home connecting well with his new community of friends; the process was one that gave me the hand-held help I needed mentally, emotionally, and physically."
-Kim B. turned to Altuvo after helping a senior from her church navigate a difficult transition to
independent living.
Is there anything else you'd like our readers to know about you?
At the end of the day, this isn't just a business for us, it's a calling. We started Altuvo because we genuinely want to help people, and we want to build something that lasts by doing right by every family we work with. If you or someone you love is facing a senior living decision and you don't know where to turn, we'd love to talk. That's exactly why we're here.
