Ms. Heather’s Educational Adventure

A Fresh Start for the New School Year

Morgan & Violet Langley

As the new school year begins, Ms. Heather’s Educational Adventures and MAEV Academy are back in session. On August 1st, the 2025–2026 academic year opened, welcoming children and families into a Christian learning environment that integrates an advanced curriculum to challenge and meet each child’s individual needs.

The private school began in 2014 at the current location on the corner of Williams and Spout Springs Road when Founder and Chateau Elan resident Heather Langley, opened a single classroom with a goal to provide a faith-based educational experience for young learners. Heather and her husband, Todd, have been career educators for over 30 years. They started the summer camps together 20 years ago! Today, the campus includes Ms. Heather’s Educational Adventures preschool programs and MAEV Academy, which serves students in Kindergarten through fifth grade. The preschool focuses on hands-on activities, art, and early literacy, through fun activities, music and projects. Teachers focus on making learning fun with room transformations, thematic units, field trips, and interactive learning. While most students are working at least a year ahead, MAEV follows Georgia state standards in core subjects and offers enrichment in art and writing. Class sizes remain small to give teachers the ability to focus on each child.

The school currently has five two year old classes, five classrooms for three-year-olds, four Pre-K classrooms, and one class for each grade from kindergarten through fifth. Students also enjoy time at the large castle playground, soccer field, trike track, outdoor library, pickleball court, basketball, teetherball, and more! The school also has 12 tables for outdoor learning. The students also enjoy interacting with the school pets, including bunnies Cocoa, Sugar, Daisy, and Peaches, as well as Kai, the office bearded dragon. These animals help teach responsibility and care.

Each summer, the campus hosts more than 200 themed camps for children ages 2 to 8. Camps feature a wide range of activities, from cooking to creative play, with popular themes like “Magical Mermaids,” “Radical Race Cars,” “Bluey,” and “Tasty Treats.” Camp registration for next summer will start February 1st.

MAEV Academy is a family endeavor. Heather and Todd named the academy after their four daughters, who are all involved in the school: Morgan teaches third grade, Addy teaches three-year-old preschool, Ella helps with administrative work, and Violet is the third grade assistant teacher through her high school work-based learning program.

When the Langleys aren’t in the classroom, they are often exploring the world together. Travel is both a family passion and an extension of their teaching. Their adventures have taken them to many countries, with Italy and Spain among their favorites—strolling the harbors of Portofino and wandering the streets of Barcelona. These trips allow the family to be students of different countries and cultures, and they bring back their experiences to share with the classrooms, enriching lessons with stories and photos from abroad.

“Our son (Noah) attended Ms. Heather’s, and our daughter (Jael) is currently enrolled at MAEV Academy.  The quality of education at both has been outstanding.  We truly appreciate the strong Christian foundation and the advanced, thoughtfully designed curriculum. The teachers at Ms. Heather’s care for their students as if they were their own children.  I often say the classrooms are structured and intentional, surrounded by an abundance of love!”

“Ms. Heather’s has been a true blessing in our lives. My toddler is not only learning but thriving emotionally, socially, and spiritually. It’s more than a school; it’s a loving foundation for life.”

“Since the summer of 2018, we have loved Ms Heather’s Educational Adventures and have had the best experience with all of our five children there between summer camps, preschool, and MAEV Academy. The teachers put so much effort in to making learning fun, it truly is a magical place for kids to get a quality, Christian education. One of our favorite things to do is the school wide family field trips. We are so thankful for the years we have had our children at Ms. Heather’s and we look forward to many more to come.”
