The Martins Invite YOU to the Flourish Taproom,

a Community Living Room

Meet owners Mike and Jessie Martin

As our Braselton community continues to grow and thrive, the newly opened Flourish Taproom has been a great success! Jessie and Mike Martin have found a way to serve the community by opening this “community living room.” With wonderful support from Braselton's leadership, they have created a place to gather with friends and meet new friends in a beautiful and fun setting right in the center of downtown.

The Martins moved from Lawrenceville to Jefferson six years ago. They have five children — Hyte (16), Hayes (14), Gray (13), Lula (11) and Pearl (10). The kids often help out with the businesses by organizing merchandise, setting up events, and helping with upkeep!

Mike had been working at churches for the past 25 years and was feeling the pull to do something else. After a season of contemplation, they decided to move to Jefferson to 'serve people and bless the city. The Martins tried to understand what exactly they could do to serve the community and saw a big need for a 'community living room' and meeting/event space for business meetings, baby showers, birthday parties, etc. The couple founded Revival Hall Taproom in Downtown Jefferson, where they built a place for residents to gather and thrive. After three years there, they started thinking about other communities that could benefit from a local hangout, and Braselton was a natural next location! Flourish Taproom was launched inside the historic Braselton Brothers building, now known as The 1904, in Downtown Braselton.

The company has been in business since January and now employs 18 people. They have created a place for people to gather and meet up with old friends and make new ones. Community events like Bingo for a Cause, Comedy Club at the Fishbowl, Trivia Night, Cornhole, and Ladies Only Night are offered at the venue. In addition to the main room, Flourish Taproom also offers an additional space that is ideal for private events. The Fishbowl Event Space features original hardwood floors, exposed brick, and vintage architectural accents but also has a modern and comfortable feel that can seat 75 patrons at the tables. It has a lot of natural light and an open floor plan that can be used and decorated as you see fit to accommodate your unique event. A variety of sangrias, ciders, 20 different beers, and eight wines are on tap. When asked what sets them apart, Mike states, “To us, beer and wine are in the background of what we do. You're always welcome to bring in your own food from home or a local restaurant.

We provide a place where the community can flourish into something strong and long-lasting. The events that we provide are designed to build stronger relationships inside of a thriving community.”

Obviously, the town is very important to Jessie, Mike, and the kids! They are very giving and are heavily involved in community events. You'll regularly see them around town at gatherings such as Concerts on the Green, Pooches in the Park, Braselton Antique and Artisan Festival, and many others in town. They also come alongside hurting families in the community by raising money through events such as Bingo for a Cause, as well as providing food donations to The Little Pantry.

Be sure to check out this unique venue and stay awhile! The Martins would love to meet you and have your support! Look for signs for The 1904 — patrons can enter through the backside of the building up one flight of stairs or through the front door where there is ADA access. There are lots of special activities to enjoy! Have a glass of your favorite beverage and meet with friends and other members of the community!
