Chateau Concert & Car Showcase Collects Food for Our Veterans!

On September 10th, the Chateau Elan neighborhood was alive with the revving of engines and the sweet sounds of live music as car enthusiasts from the community came together for the Chateau Concert & Car Showcase. This event, hosted by Stroll Chateau Elan and the Chateau Charity & Care Team, had a dual purpose: to collect food for local veterans and to generate excitement for the upcoming "Cars of Chateau Elan" event at the Chateau Elan Winery and Resort on October 8th. Stroll Chateau Elan is a proud partner of the Chateau Elan Military Support Foundation, serving as a sponsor of the Cars of Chateau Event for the last 4 years.

The event kicked off at the equestrian gate with a parade of classic and exotic cars making their way over the newly opened bridge, and winding through the neighborhood to attract attention. Residents stepped out to watch the parade and many followed the assembly of stunning vehicles to the Sports Club green by golf cart. Residents and car aficionados gained a sneak peek of what’s to come on October 8th.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, live music was provided by the talented Chris Hamrick. Residents brought their food donations, along with tents, tables, and chairs, creating a vibrant communal space for friends and families to come together. It was also great to see neighbors meet for the first time through common interests of cars, kids, and even sports teams, exemplifying that Stroll Chateau Elan is all about building neighborly bonds.

The Chateau Elan Military Support Foundation played a pivotal role during the event. They were on hand to answer questions about the car show, conduct prize drawings, and assist with food collections destined for the Barrow County Veterans Resource Center, who were also present to share their mission.

No event is complete without great food, and Break Water Grill was on-site to satisfy appetites with a mouthwatering array of options, from tacos and hamburgers to Philly cheesesteaks, beverages, and more.

A new addition to the Stroll Chateau Elan sponsor family, Evermore Photo Scanning, was present to showcase their services for digitizing cherished photographs. Top End Motors, another sponsor, provided a large tent where many gathered to seek shelter from the sun and explore their offerings as a business. This collaboration between local businesses and the community further enriched the event.

Capturing the fun from a unique perspective, neighbor Mark Lamb generously donated his time to provide aerial photography using his drone. Some of his fabulous videos of the event can be found on the Facebook Chateau Elan Neighborhood Homeowners Only Page, where residents can relive the magic.

In the end, the Chateau Concert & Car Showcase succeeded in bringing neighbors together for a worthwhile cause while ensuring everyone had a great time.
