The 27th Annual DeWitt Weaver Eagle Ranch Golf Classic

A Legend’s Legacy Lives On

The 2021 DeWitt Weaver Eagle Ranch Golf Classic was a huge success thanks to the Chateau Elan community. More than 20 Chateau Elan residents volunteered for the event, which had a full course of 132 golfers. In addition to a great day of golf, the family of DeWitt Weaver was honored through a special display in the clubhouse of memorabilia highlighting DeWitt’s distinguished golf career.

The 27th annual event was the most successful tournament to date. Over 70 corporate sponsors, hole sponsors and contributors helped raise over $200,000. This record-breaking amount will have a huge impact on supporting struggling children and families. Since the tournament’s start in 1994, over $1.5 million has been raised to support the Eagle Ranch mission, directly benefiting over 1,200 children and their families. DeWitt’s legacy lives on.

"It was such an honor and privilege to call DeWitt Weaver my good friend. He was truly a gentle soul and one of the most humble, gracious, and loving people that I have ever been around. Dewitt would always take the time to teach me something about golf or share his family values and was never shy about sharing his faith in Jesus.  He really loved Eagle Ranch and considered it his personal mission to make sure the ranch was going to be successful. If everyone was a little more like DeWitt Weaver the world would be a better place for all of us."

"DeWitt was a great supporter of Eagle Ranch, and he was able to combine his passion for the Ranch and his passion for golf when he created this tournament over twenty years ago. I love that Eagle Ranch honored him at the tournament this year by giving each golfer a sleeve of golf balls inscribed with "Ps. 37:4." DeWitt signed every autograph and marked each of his golf balls with this verse as his personal testimony of his greatest passion, delighting himself in the Lord. His amazing legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and in this very special golf tournament."
Lynn Price

“Dewitt’s Christian faith and his love and respect for the mission of Eagle Ranch motivated him to lend his name to and organize his inaugural golf tournament in 1994.  For over 25 years he was intimately involved in every aspect of the operation and success of the tournament to the level of raising over $1.5 million for Eagle Ranch.  It is a testament to him and his family that the golf tournament will continue successfully in his name into the future.  His obvious commitment to Eagle Ranch influenced hundreds of tournament sponsors, volunteers, and participants to further their involvement with Eagle Ranch.”
