Ken, an Atlanta native, grew up in Dekalb County. He and his wife, Julia, have three grown children (Ken III, Brett, and Brooke) and 11 grandchildren! Ken III and his wife Jaime have four girls – Piper, Presley, Portland, and Paige. Brett and Rachel's three boys are Brett, Jr., Kellen, Decklan, and their daughter is Coralline. Brooke is a mom of three – Lilly, Landon, and Lennox. They all live in the area so they are lucky to have lots of family time. Julia owns Taylor Brooks Salon and Piper Lillies gift shoppe. They are also the owners of Five Star Lodge and Stables Corporate that specializes in family reunions and weddings. 

As a football player at Austin Peay College, Ken ruptured a disc in his back. He ended up attending night school, and then started with Aaron Rents when they had 12 stores in 1974. He worked his way through the company and left as Corporate Aaron’s COO after 40 years. The business grew to 2000+ stores under Ken’s direction! In 2013, he started a family golf cart business as his sons were winding down their racing careers. They had been into racing since young ages, starting with go-carts, pro challenge series, late model, hooters pro cup series, Arca Remax series, truck series with Nascar, and then Nationwide series with Nascar. In 2016, Ken bought 12 Buddy’s Home Furnishing stores, added five Sears Outlet stores, and changed the name to American Freight, selling appliances and furniture. 

As a golf cart dealer, Ken owns two locations – Lawrenceville, where his son Brett works with him, and Braselton (opened in 2019), which his son Ken III operates. This family business sells and services five different brands for plenty of choices. They were voted “Best of Gwinnett” and can help you navigate between Star, EZ-GO, Evolution, Bintelli, and Icon. You will have more choices, more options, and better prices! All Pro has exclusive rights for all these brands for new vehicles. The company employs 14 people between the two stores.

Ken offers several pieces of advice if you are shopping for a golf cart. First, make sure you are comparing apples to apples when comparing pricing and carts. Don’t buy a golf cart on looks. It is important to know the age of the batteries. Research the serial number – Ken can help you look it up to know the year. (Lithium batteries are the new trend – no maintenance, no water fill, and  EZ-GO has an 8-year warranty.) Prices continue to go up, and the lead time ordering a new cart is a year out, but don't worry, Ken has ordered carts already for you, and with the five brands has a constant flow of carts coming in and out of the store every week!
